One of the most recent trend in bioanalitical chemistry relyes on coupling different techniques in order to profit from the strengh of each approch.
A recent review book chapeter from scientists at Plasmore, ImaBiotech and Don Gnocchi Foundation (Dora Mehn) recalls the strategies for coupling biosensors and label-free analysis with mass spectrometry (MS), focusing primarily on surface plasmon resonance (SPR) and MALDI mass spectroscopy.
This chapter is a usefull tool for everyone interested in the development of new sensor based proteoic approaches and can be read inside the book: “Analyzing Biomolecular Interactions by Mass Spectrometry” editet by Jeroen Kool and Wilfried M. A. Niessen ad published by Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim, Germany.
