On June 20-23, 2022, Labion participated at the 17th annual event of European Technology Platform on Nanomedicine (ETPN) in Braga, Portugal.
This conference gave the opportunity at scientists, technology providers, entrepreneurs, industry and clinicians to come together to talk about medical applications of Nanotechnologies and emerging MedTech and to discuss about the future of Nanomedicine and its translation to clinic.
Labion researchers were present in poster session!
Dr. Alice Gualerzi presented the potentiality of Extracellular Vesicles (EVs) as carriers of stroke markers and the Surface Plasmon Resonance imaging (SPRi) technique to obtain a multiplexed and sensitive analysis of EVs.
Dr. Valentina Mangolini presented two biophotonics techniques to characterize functionalized nanoliposomes (LPs). In particular, Raman Spectroscopy was used for assessing the quality of the effective loading and reproducibility in LPs synthesis and Surface Plasmon Resonance imaging (SPRi) was proposed to study binding affinity of interaction between LPs and their receptors.
Dr. Marzia Bedoni, the researcher team leader of Labion, is member of ETPN and she chaired the working group “Clinical Translation and Social Impact” and moderated the Panel Discussion “Is smart nanomedicine ready for the clinic?”.
It was a pleasure to meet colleagues at ETPN2022 in-person conferences and to share with them the know of the science!
