Rehabilitation is how to restore the frail human being, as a whole, when one or more functions are lost and its own precious physical and relational balance is in danger.

Fondazione Don Gnocchi ONLUS organized a thematic session on “high tech rehabilitation” at the recently held RoboBusiness Europe conference in Milan. It was the opportuity to discuss about the recent advancement in the field and, in particular, about how advanced technology can empower the caregiver’s capability to understand the needs and to deliver the assistance to the patient, in an unprecedented way.

Labion participated to this discussion showing how  “biomarkers” can beuse to effectively  measure the outcomes of rehabilitation and how new plasmonic technologies (SPRi) can be an important tool to measure the concentration of biomarker usually difficult to detect such as miRNAs.
